Construction Specification Sheet

Younger Furniture is proud of the quality built into every aspect of our furniture.
Compare what we offer to what is found in fine, high-end, more costly upholstered pieces...

Frame -- Kiln-dried oak or other hardwoods (ash or maple). Corners are blocked for joint reinforcement, double-doweled and glued. Joint breakers are added for additional reinforcement.

Seat Cushions (standard) - Cushions contain a 5.5" thick core of HR (high resiliency) foam with a minimum 2.0 density, wrapped in multiple layers of various denier polyester fiber encased in a non-woven ticking material.

"Y Lux" Cushions - Cushions contain a 7" thick core of 2.5 density HR (high resiliency) polyurethane foam banded with silicone impregnated polyester fiber. This cushion is then encased in a down proof tick cover.

Back Cushions - Cushions are made of the same polyester fibers and an inner casing is channeled to maintain comfort and appearance.

Foam - Minimum 2.0" "HR" / ILD may vary depending on style or desired results. "HR" quality foam with 2.5 / ILD is standard in "Y LUX" seat cushions.

Fiber - 2-oz. slick. Fiber-encased in a non-woven cover to prevent fiber migrating.

Propex - Sturdy, synthetic material used on inside backs as well as outside arms under fabric to reduce the effects of punctures and tears to the upholstery material

Springs - No-sag seats and back are used where applicable. Loose-back pillow styles use propex rather than no-sag springs.

Mattress - 5" thick innerspring mattress standard on all sleepers. Five year warranty.

Sleeper Mechanism - Tubular steel construction, dual tubular legs for added support, TV headrest with anti-tilt to prevent unwanted closing of unit; sleep support cross-wires for added comfort and seat support cross-wires for added support when sitting on end of opened sleeper.

Legs/Feet - Hardwood, metal of ABS plastic depending on the style and design requirements. All are attached at the factory.

Packaging - Standard pack is #A275 test carton with inner polybag.

Labeling - Preprinted with our model #, fabric #, description, customer P.O.#, acknowledgement #, and "tag" name.
